Trailblazer Clubs

Advanced Riding, Bold Adventures

Trailblazers is designed for middle and high schoolers who are passionate about mountain biking and eager for advanced challenges. This program is perfect for experienced riders or graduates of our Adventure Club, offering an opportunity to build independence, courage, and confidence through exploration and endurance on the trails.

New for 2025: Trailblazers will feature Spring and Fall sessions at two locations:

  • Trailblazers South: Riley Trails in Holland

  • Trailblazers North: Mosquito Creek Trails in Muskegon

Trailblazers North

Mosquito Creek Trails - Muskegon

Participants will ride alongside peers who share their passion for biking, with guidance from our expert coaching staff. Trailblazers emphasizes skill-building, endurance, and teamwork, while fostering a love for the outdoors and pushing personal boundaries.​

 

North Details

Spring Tuesdays:

  • April 29, May 6, May 13, May 20, and May 27

  • 6:00PM - 7:30PM

Adventure Club South

Riley Trails - Holland

Participants will ride alongside peers who share their passion for biking, with guidance from our expert coaching staff. Trailblazers emphasizes skill-building, endurance, and teamwork, while fostering a love for the outdoors and pushing personal boundaries.

South Details

Spring Thursdays:

  • May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22, and May 29

  • 6:00PM - 7:30PM

Cost: $80

Requirements for the Trailblazers

To ensure participants are ready for the challenges of Trailblazers, riders should be in grades 6th to 12th and must meet the following requirements:

  • Trail Experience: Comfortable riding 10+ miles on trails with varying terrain.

  • Passion and Motivation: A hunger to ride more, explore further, and push boundaries.

  • Prior Experience: Participation in the Adventure Club Black Group, membership in a Mountain Bike Team, or experience in competitive events such as Barry Roubaix or Iceman’s Slush Cup.

  • Equipment: Riders must have a properly functioning mountain bike with gears and a helmet.

If your child meets these requirements and is ready for the adventure, Trailblazers is the perfect program to take their riding to the next level

Cancellation and Weather Policy

At Velo Kids, safety and planning are essential to the success of our programs.

  • Refunds for cancellations initiated by participants are available based on the time of the request.

  • Weather-related cancellations will not be refunded, but participants will receive a 10% off coupon code for future registrations.
